Have-Nots Comedy Presents David Stebbins

Have-Nots Comedy Presents David Stebbins
Event on 2017-04-29 20:00:00
David Stebbins is a seasoned headliner and crowd favorite. Working with everyone from Chris Rock to George Carlin, winner of too many awards to mention, a showstopper at the New York and Chicago Comedy Festivals, he has been on HBO, MTV, COMEDY CENTRAL, NBC and various other evil corporate entities. He has written for shows on the SCI-FI channel, NBC, FOX and a local cable access outlet he is no longer able to mention (by law). When he is not busy traveling the country assaulting audiences with his unique brand of filthy intelligence he likes to help old ladies cross the street, collect stamps, and have sex in public. David Stebbins is probably funnier than anyone you’ll ever see live and certainly much funnier than this bio. Ask anyone who has ever seen his show and they’ll passionately tell you. Do not miss this show!!!

McLovins, The Drunken Hearts

McLovins, The Drunken Hearts
Event on 2017-04-15 21:00:00

Fronted by lead singer Jake “The Drummer” Huffman, the group is anchored by bassist (and tireless tour van driver), Jason Ott. Guitarist Justin Berger and keyboardist Atticus Kelly complete the ensemble with their boundless instrumental mastery. The boys have played with a diverse group of artists, including 90’s rock luminaries The Gin Blossoms, Buddy Guy and funk legend George Porter Jr. of The Meters.

McLovins draw upon contemporary pop styles and traditional rock to create “get up and dance” music that gets their audience truly engaged. Their live show is a party atmosphere that showcases the band’s songwriting with a healthy dose of group improvisation led by heartthrob guitarist JustinBerger.

Guided by their overly qualified producer Bill Sherman (of Hamilton and Sesame Street fame), McLovins continue toraisethebarforthemselveswitheachalbumrelease. Following 2015’s self-titled “McLovins,” the group is aiming for a 2017 release slated for the holiday season.

Once described as their field’s youngest seasoned veterans, the boys spend half of the year in a van touring around the country (and someday, the world)

The Drunken Hearts
“…An electrifying force of Americana music.”

From their humble inception as an acoustic trio, The Drunken Hearts have grown into an electric five-piece that is captivating audiences across the country. In those few years, the Colorado-based group has managed to make a name for itself in a state that is known for producing and cultivating world-class music. The band fearlessly bottles a tempestuous, yet honest brand of American music — infusing spirited vocals with electric and acoustic instruments, and crafting thoughtful songs that are resonating with crowds everywhere.

Originally an outlet for lead singer and acoustic guitarist, Andrew McConathy, he knew the band needed to expand musically to satisfy his growing songbook of material. With their newest release, Love & Thirst, the band’s journey is clear and truthful, letting the listener beneath the love and loss that has shaped the band and it’s members. With the track “Want You Back,” their rowdy guitar-riff rock and country influences are showcased, while the title track “Love & Thirst” conveys a more delicate sentiment through both the music and lyrical delivery.

Following the May release of Love & Thirst, 2016 will see the band tour the country from coast-to-coast, with stops at famed venues and festivals, such as Electric Forest, Vertex, Fayetteville Roots Fest, Hangtown Music Festival, and the band’s own YarmonyGrass, among others. Very much in their element on the festival scene, Tyra Sutak (Elevation Outdoors Magazine) described her experience as being “…lured by the symphonic sounds of strings blended with electric guitar riffs and heartfelt vocals reminiscent of great country singers from the past… The groove bobbed through our bones and burrowed in our boots tapping along with the catchy beats and unique melodies.

Chakradance Awakening Series – Heart Chakra

Chakradance Awakening Series – Heart Chakra
Event on 2017-08-04 19:00:00
Chakradance® is a spontanous form of dance which aids in relieving and balancing the stresses of modern day living. Offering similar benefits to yoga, Chakradance® increases your awareness of the connection between your body and soul and leaves you with a feeling of inner peace and serenity. Dancing through the ancient chakra system awakens the body, expands the mind, and calls out to the soul. Dancing the seven chakras is like dancing into seven different inner landscapes, each with its own lessons, meanings and stories. Classes are all held in a darkened room, lit only by candle-light. In this ‘sacred space’ we begin to transition from our outer, every-day life, into our rich inner, imaginative world. The health of our relationships is determined by the health of our heart chakra. Relationship problems, our insecurities and needs are all regulated by the heart chakra. If we wish to enjoy satisfying and enriching relationships with people who open their heart to us in return, we can do this by balancing and enhancing the health of our heart chakra. The heart chakra’s true purpose is to help us fully and safely experience love. The Sanskrit name for the heart chakra, Anahata translates to unhurt, a beautiful reference to the place from which we can love without fear or pain, without attachment. When we balance our heart chakra, we simultaneously release past relationship wounds and attachments which may be hurting us in the present, and which could also compromise our future. The key to attaining the state of being ‘unhurt’ is to find love, forgiveness and compassion, for both others and ourselves. This Chakradance® workshop offers meditation, spontaneous movement, dance and art therapy. It is suitable for all ages, no dance experience or prior knowledge of the chakras are necessary. Space is limited and bookings are essential. Please book early! Green Jellÿ (pronounced "green jello") was formed in 1981 in Kenmore, NY by founding member Bill Manspeaker. Originally named Green Jellö, the band changed its name due to legal pressure from the owners of the Jell-O trademark, Kraft Foods, who claimed that it was an infringement of their trademark. Throughout the early 80’s, Green Jellÿ performed throughout NY, opening for bands like The Ramones and New York Dolls. Their reputation for over-the-top live performances and food-hurling audiences got them banned from most local venues.

After finding local success, many of the members relocated to Hollywood, CA where they quickly became a fixture of the underground scene. Green Jellÿ then struck up an instant friendship with GWAR bonding with their mutual love of costumes and onstage antics. By this time, the band consisted of usually 20 members including new characters such as "Cowgod", "Rock n Roll Pumpkin", and "Satan's Ham." At one point even Danny Carey and Maynard James Keenan of Tool made the Green Jellÿ roster.

In 1992, Zoo Entertainment, a subsidiary of BMG, released Green Jellÿ’s “Cereal Killer,” an all video album including MTV hit, “The Three Little Pigs.” The following year, Zoo released an audio version of the album called, “Cereal Killer Soundtrack.” This album went gold in the US, and sold nearly 2.5 million units worldwide. The success led BMG to open Green Jellÿ studios in Hollywood, where the band recorded Grammy nominated, “333.” “333” includes “The Bear Song” from the Farrelly Brother’s film, Dumb and Dumber.

In the following years, Green Jellÿ continued to break the mold as they wrote the first ever video game soundtrack for Acclaim Entertainment video game, Spider Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage. Although they never officially broke up, band members went their separate ways until early 2008 when they reemerged for a US tour supporting a re-release of the Cereal Killer and 333 video/albums on DVD.

After performing over 125 shows last year, all of them rife with the comedic and animated goodness that made Green Jellÿ a household name, the band is now preparing for another US tour to support their newest record “Musick To Insult Your Intelligence By” on Los Angeles based Rotten Records. This tour which will be bigger, better and fatter than ever promises to be more along the lines of a traveling Mardi Gras parade; with enough costumes and enough foodstuff to make Anthony Bourdain’s mouth water.
